Hiring Matt as a Personal Trainer was one of the best decisions I have ever made. When I first met Matt in 2014 I was trying to rehabilitate my strength after losing a lot of muscle mass due to a severe illness. I had spent many months in bed, barely able to walk, and I was slowly trying to regain my health. I had spent a few years working on it myself but I knew I needed to bring it to the next level, but I did not know how…that’s when my path thankfully crossed with Matt. 

I was initially hesitant about whether I could afford one-on-one sessions, especially after spending so much money on doctors, but I soon realized that working with Matt was money well spent! The money I spent on personal training was the best investment I have made in my health. I truly got value for money, and best of all, I got results. With Matts help, I lost 15 lbs, completed multiple half marathons and increased my functional strength to be able to do 5 pull ups. Matt helped me more than any other health professional over my 10 years of illness and helped me become a strong and energetic person again.

I have nothing but admiration for Matts personal motivation to continually improve himself and the health of his clients. Being a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, I recommend Matt to my client as he truly understands the importance of nutrition in helping someone meet their health goals. He is continually educating himself to stay on top of the game and is always looking for new ways to stretch you just that little bit further! He has the ability to push you enough so you can grow and ultimately become the best version of yourself, both physically and mentally. I will be forever grateful that our paths crossed.

THREE years ago I decided to make a change. I wasn't happy with my body. Going to the gym was intimidating because I was clueless. Luckily my friend Matt was willing to take me on as a client. I knew it would be hard but having a great personal trainer is key. Matt has kept me motivated and pushed me to do things I never thought I could. He defiantly has patience and will make sure you are doing the workout correctly no matter how long it takes. My life is forever changed and I am so proud of my progress. Thanks Matt!!

At one point I was up to 225 pounds at 5 feet 9 inches tall I was shaped like a pear. Enough was enough, especially at 43 years old. I needed to change my diet, my lifestyle and my whole outlook on what health was.  Matthew made it easy. He taught me how to eat, what to eat and when to eat. He taught me that even with exercise eating healthier is a must.

Once I was able to incorporate exercise and healthy eating, the pounds just started falling off. As I became more lean, fat was replaced with muscle. My everyday life is so much better now. After a year of training with Matthew, I am 189 pounds and have never felt this good. I now have a new found passion that I plan to carry out for years to come.

I WAS NOT A GYM person, but then I met Matt. When we met in 2013, I weighed 212 pounds and was taking medication for high blood pressure and high cholesterol because of my weight.

 I joined the gym because of my family history of stroke. When my younger sister suddenly passed away, I decided that I did not want to be the next victim in my family. I had health issues with high blood pressure and high cholesterol due to being overweight.

 Working with Matt, I lost about 45 pounds over some time until I hit Menopause. Despite the plateau due
to Menopause, I continued my life style change. I've been working with my Doctor to wean myself off medication. Since exercising, I was able to change my lipid panel from the red zone to the green zone. Because my lipid panel is now in the healthy range I am taking now only 5 mg every 3 days! Exercise has changed my life!

I have been training with Matt for about two years. I would walk off curbs with caution. I also stopped riding my bike realizing that my balance was not what it should be. After working with Matt, it wasn't long before I became confident in my balance and was back to riding my bike.

I have noticed that Matt works a lot like a physical therapist and will work with any health issues you might have. He knows the muscles so well and what to strengthen and stretch to give you a better quality of life. He has me doing things I would have never thought I could. The other day I lifted 85 pounds . I would say at age 74 that is amazing. 

Daphine Lutjens

As a senior citizen I had a common issue - poor balance. I started working with Matt several years ago to see if my balance would improve. Although we did overall strength training we concentrated on the core. I am now able to walk up and down stairs without holding on, walk looking straight ahead instead of looking down at the ground and my favorite - putting my jeans on with out holding on to anything. My posture has improved and overall everyday chores are much easier.

On a personal note, Matt is very professional. He pushes you to do more but listens

"I FIRST MET Matt through a mutual friend who had been going to his Saturday bootcamps. I was looking to change up my routine a bit and it was probably one of the smartest things I've done!

THROUGH these workouts and in talking with Matt about my goals, it quickly became clear that he has a great passion for what he does. He provides me with challenging workouts that I wouldn't otherwise think to do myself nor would I push myself as hard as he knows I can. 

SATURDAY workouts have transitioned into personal training sessions during the week and the results are there.  I've noticed improvement in my overall physical abilities and flexibility. I'm excited about my health and fitness again!
